From the beginning to present.....
G Jones Builders started out over 20 years ago as a sole trading business under the name of G Jones Builders & Joinery Contractors. At the start Mr Jones worked alone carrying out small projects, mainly domestic. After the early trials and tribulations that starting a new venture incurs, the business began to grow and along with completing domestic projects, the company began carrying out work in the commercial sector. One of the most notable companies the business carried out a large number of projects for was Swinton Insurance. As the business grew, so did the staff numbers needed to realise the increasing workload.
Whatever the stage the company was, and is at, it has always prided itself on the high quality final products we build. This is recognised by the number of projects that the company has completed after the recommendation of others who we have done work for, or as is becoming increasingly frequent, by repeat business from clients and design teams.
In 2002 after continual growth, the next obvious step was to incorporate the business as a limited company, and G Jones Builders Ltd began life. From then until now, the business has grown and continues to grow in terms of both size and the type and scale of projects we are undertaking.
For many years our company has carried out works for Salford City Council, however in 2007, in order to realise the government led initiative of Rethinking Construction, Urban Vision (Salford City Council's venture company responsible for building works), decided to go into partnership with several contractors for the delivery of projects within certain bands in terms of project value. G Jones Builders Ltd was invited to tender to become one of the partners, and after a lot of hard work, was successfully appointed a partner on the Minor Building Works Scheme.
We feel that this appointment is some measure of how far the company has expanded. However, we are not solely reliant on work from this partnership, and we are constantly tendering for other works in other sectors, and through our experienced workforce and company values, continuing to deliver the highest quality developments, efficiently, and ensuring client satisfaction.
